This Includes the Basic Forms.
Do You Know What They Are?

Basic Form 1
Basic Form 2
Basic Form 6
Basic Form 7
Basic Form 8

Basic Form 6

basic origami
1) Like all basic origami, start with a square sheet of paper.

basic origami
2) Fold it in half so that it looks like the triangle shown here.

basic origami
3) Now fold the right corner over to the left corner so that you have an even smaller triangle.

basic origami
4) Next, pull the corner that you just folded over straight up and open it up. Note the corner is marked in red.

basic origami
5) Then, flatten the whole flap so that the corner (still marked in red) is on top of the two bottom corners. Make sure your creases are nice and sharp here.

basic origami
6) Here's what it should look like from the bottom, where you just folded down the corner.

basic origami
7) Now turn the whole thing over. Fold the corner that is sticking out to the right, over along the middle of the model so that...

basic origami
8) ...It is now sticking out to the left, just like the first corner used to be...

basic origami
9) ...And repeat steps 4-5 with the corner that you just folded over. What you should get is a neat little square.

basic origami
Here's what it will look like from the the bottom where all four corner are now folded together.

Basic Form 7

basic origami
1) Start with Basic Form 6...

basic origami
...Make sure that the open corner is pointing down.

basic origami
2) Now fold the left flap in towards the middle...

basic origami
3) ...And flatten the left edge so that the right edge is lined up with the center crease.

basic origami
4) Repeat steps 2-3 with the right flap.

basic origami
5) You now need to fold the top corner down along the the tops of the two flaps that you just folded over.

basic origami
6) And then unfold everything so that you are back to step one. What you have done so far is called 'Creasing.' It just makes the folds that you will do later on easier.

basic origami
7) Take the bottom corner (make sure that you get just the top layer) and fold it up along the top crease line that you made in step 5...

basic origami
8) ...As you pull the bottom corner up, fold both the left and right corners in towards the middle so that their edges meet right along the vertical center line.

basic origami
9) After you flatten everything, what you get should look like this.

basic origami
10) You're almost finished, just turn the model over...

basic origami
11) ...And repeat steps 2-8 on the other side! Remember to make nice sharp creases. What you should end up with is this. Yep, this is really basic origami.

Basic Form 8

basic origami
1) Start with Basic Form 1. Position as shown.

basic origami
2) Fold the lower right edge up, so that it lines up with the center line. Make a nice sharp crease.

basic origami
3) Next, unfold what you just did.

basic origami
4) Then, opening up the whole bottom side of the model...

basic origami
5) ...Fold the opened up corner in half...

basic origami
6) ...To form a nice sharp tip.

basic origami
7) Now, just fold the tip upwards, and flatten it so that its open side is parallel with the center crease.

basic origami
8) Repeat steps 2-7 on the upper half of the model, and you're done!
